The World War II Campaigns are a system of interactive storytelling projects currently being deployed at new visitor centers throughout the world. Belle & Wissell is also designing and developing companion websites, available on the American Battle Monuments Commission’s website.

Produced in partnership with filmmaker Dog Green Productions, these projects allow users to understand campaign and battle-specific military strategies as well as important context to help people to understand the reasons for decisions that were made during these tremendous conflicts. The stories are told through interactive maps, through significant events, and by following the personal journeys of soldiers.

These projects are currently installed at American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) visitor centers in Cambridge (UK), Normandy Visitor Center (FR), Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument (FR), and the Rome-Sicily Visitor Center (IT).

Project Accolades:

PR Newswire “New interactive timeline and map allows you to explore the history of World War II,” 2013
The New York Times “In France, Honoring the Fallen in the War to End All Wars,” 2013
