“The People Project” is an interactive
environment designed from schematic through design development by design director Gabe Kean and architect Brian McWatters, in collaboration with the MEDX group at Microsoft.
The system is designed to tell a story to MEDX visitors (and Microsoft employees) as they
enter the lobby, exit the elevator, and interact
(via SmartPhone) with the many a/v
displays and projections.
The experience extends into the hallways and work spaces of the MEDX group, with MEDX-branded collaborative spaces throughout.
Multiple pathways lead to a collaborative work and demonstration lab called the “Collaboratory”, in which the MEDX group can manage the content and product technology being shared with others.
