In its seventy-year life, the Britannia Mine—a national historic site in British Columbia, Canada—has had a fascinating history.

This interactive explores the stories of over 60,000 people that lived and worked there. It also explores the pioneering work on ore extraction technologies and how those practices have changed and evolved greatly over time as awareness of environmental impact has increased.
