“The Estate of Beverly Thomas” is a collaborative piece created specifically for the exhibition “Help Wanted: Collaborations in Art” at Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle.
The resulting piece combines the talents of an architect, playwright, estate sale expert, builder, interactive designer, programmer and more…
Brian McWatters and Gabe Kean developed a design prototype of the piece using 3D software before the team built a functional prototype in a temporary gallery space.
This interactive piece incorporates a/v components that present Beverly’s memories and conversations through two televisions, a radio, and a telephone.
