Born’s exhibition “Help Wanted: Collaborations in Art” (Center on Contemporary Art, Seattle) was curated and organized by Gabe Kean and Jacob McMurray, with the help of Steve Hawley, Larry Reid and many others.
The exhbition focused on the collaborative process and the combination of over 40 contributors, resulting in eight commissioned installation pieces, and three media kiosk stations.
Artist groups were challenged to work together on pieces that elicit audience participation. Each and every collaborative piece takes a unique approach to its storytelling strategy.
Help Wanted was complemented by a series of artist talks and panel discussions examining the collaborative approach to the work.
