Through close collaboration with project partners, Belle & Wissell contributed media design expertise for Amazon Visitor Landing at Metropolitan Park. Amazon’s goal for this new interactive center and event space was to provide neighbors, visitors, and customers with insights into the individuals and innovations behind Amazon.
Upon arrival, guests will find exhibits that touch on Amazon’s mission, history, and the people and partners, including employees, small business sellers, nonprofit organizations and even authors who work with or sell on Amazon. Amazon Visitor Landing is adorned with exhibits that highlight Amazon’s values, including responsive lighting that brings Amazon’s leadership principles to life.
By The Numbers offers a view into Amazon’s commitment to creating jobs and investing in communities in the U.S. and globally. The multi-user, interactive touch wall presents animated data visualizations that relate to Amazon’s investments over the last decade.
Voices of Amazon features first-person video monologues from employees, partners, and sellers sharing their personal stories—as great examples of the many people who contribute to Amazon’s efforts to be customer-centric and Earth’s Best Employer.
Finally, The Current, a light sculpture, combines custom fixtures, a layered soundscape, and curved video story stations that activate when visitors step near them. Here, guests can learn about examples of Amazon’s philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives, as well as how the company has responded to various current events and global disaster relief situations.
