“The Eight Essential Ingredients” (February 3rd–March 31st 2006, at Richard Hugo House in Seattle) is a collaborative literary arts show, co-curated by Jacob McMurray and Gabe Kean.
Acclaimed poet Marvin Bell and Seattle conceptual artist Steven Berardelli worked together to create a sculptural video installation that combines Bell’s tree poems with Berardelli’s imagery.
Jacob McMurray orchestrated an exhibit that involved commissioned posters from graphic designer Mike King and short stories from five Richard Hugo House writers.
As part of the Born Presents mission, Kean and McMurray bring together people with diverse backgrounds to create storytelling artworks.
